The Living Room in Soho has played host to an interactive exhibition highlighting cuts in national arts funding.
The Come Cut exhibition was held at the City Gates centre after the church was approached by a curator seeking a central London venue for a new arts event.
The event saw four artists donating their creations for members of the public to cut up.
Participants were each given 10 minutes to make one cut in the artwork, as a vivid way of demonstrating their disapproval at recent reductions in Government funding of UK arts services.
Curated by Taiwanese artist Yu'an Huang, the Come Cut exhibition was designed as creative but enjoyable way for people to make a political statement.
It also set out to reflect on the meaning of creativity in society and to explore whether financial security has an impact on people's individuality.
City Gates was not involved in hosting the event. However, the lending of its premises reflects the church's desire to engage with the community and develop the Living Room's capacity as an arts venue.
