Worship

In Isaiah 6. 1-8, Isaiah sees an amazing picture of heavenly worship: the Lord is seated on the throne; the train of his robe fills the temple; the angels proclaim him 'Holy, Holy, Holy'. This vision triggers two immediate responses in the prophet: firstly, to repent and to secondly, to offer his life afresh to God.

City Gates' desire is to use the worship ministry to create an atmosphere that facilitates church members to see God as Isaiah did – both as individuals and as a family of believers.

Each Sunday, the musical aspect of church worship is guided by one of three bands, using songs and sounds both ancient and modern, with instruments such as the harp, drums, acoustic guitar and keyboard.

The primary focus of the worship time is to glorify God with heart, body and mind. People are encouraged to express themselves in worship to God; for instance, some people dance, while others draw.

The worship bands are made up of musical individuals who are committed members of the City Gates community. Contact the church office for information about joining the bands.
