We generally meet alternately in New Cross and Crofton Park, drawing in people from all over our beloved South East London. We are a diverse mix of people with various different backgrounds, which we see as one our strengths and a testimony of how Jesus brings different people together!
We take particular inspiration from 1 Thessalonians 3:12 which says "May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else". Our aim is that we grow in love for God, each other and our local area, with this love being manifested by spending time in fellowship, prayer, worship and evangelism. We are eager to see God’s more power, remembering that God’s love is powerful! To this end, we make a point of praying regularly together in our meetings and have seen many answers to prayer.
The place where we meet in New Cross is a City Gates community house where five of our cell members live. It has a big basement for watching movies, eating pizzas, having pancake parties and generally hanging out. It also helps people to come and join us for a few days, which makes our shared experience all the richer. You will normally find us either at the New Cross house, or another one of our houses!
